Class 3 have worked incredibly hard on their clay amphoras in art. They have learned to make pinch pots, how to join a coil to the pot and also how to carve patterns into the pot once the clay had hardened enough.
Class 3 have been learning about how light travels and how mirrors can change its direction. They have also been learning about shadows, and how they can move to change the size and shape of them in Science.
Class 3 have been working in groups to share their ideas for writing their stories.

Class 3 made their very own Volcanoes in our Family Learning Event.
Class 3 have been exploring how to create different textures in art. It got very messy but they learned that many different textures could be created in some unusual ways.
Class 3 have been researching where the food we eat comes from. They have learned that not all fruits and vegetables can be grown naturally in all countries due to the climate and conditions they need to survive. In their geography learning they have found out about tropical areas and why they might have a different climate to that of the UK.
Class 3 have been learning about what happens if we have too many ones in our ones column, or too many tens in our tens column in addition.
Class 3 had a fantastic day imagining what life would have been like in the Stone Age today! They tried out some cave art, made shelters from the Mesolithic period, learned how to hunt using a bow and arrow, and even tried to carve our own arrowheads.
